3 Oakdell Cage Free Eggs |
1 loaf French bread, cubed |
1/4 cup unsalted butter |
1/3 cup packed brown sugar |
1/4 cup whipping cream |
1/2 tsp cinnamon |
1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional) |
Pinch of salt |
2 large bananas, sliced |
2 1/2 cups whole milk |
1 tbsp sugar |
2 tsp cinnamon |
Garnish with pecans, sliced bananas, and maple syrup (optional) |
Bananas Foster French Toast Casserole Directions
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter. Then stir in sugar, cream, cinnamon, and pecan (optional). Add banana slices and gently coat.
- Pour banana mixture into a greased 9x11 baking dish. Arrange bread cubes over the top.
- Whisk together Oakdell eggs, milk, sugar, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Pour over bread cubes. Refrigerate, covered overnight or at least two hours.
- Preheat oven to 375 F. Remove casserole from refrigerator while oven heats. Bake for 35 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Let stand 5-10 minutes. Invert to serve. Garnish with pecans and banana slices and drizzle with maple syrup (optional).
