1 Oakdell cage-free egg |
3 Tablespoons vegetable oil, divided |
1/4 Cup shredded carrots |
1 Cup shredded cabbage |
salt and pepper, to taste |
1 1/2 Cups cooked rice |
2 Tablespoons butter |
1 Tablespoon soy sauce |
1 teaspoon tasted sesame seeds |
1 green onion, sliced |
Asian Crispy Egg Rice Directions
- In a large skillet, add 1 tablespoon oil, carrots, and cabbage and cook on medium-high heat until softened, about 5 minutes.
- In a small skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons oil and heat over medium heat, add egg, spoon the hot oil on top of the egg as it cooks. Cook until edges are crispy and the whites are set, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir butter into cooked rice. Top with cooked veggies, crispy egg, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and green onion.
