Egg In a Hole Breakfast Bagel

Here is a delicious idea for breakfast that’s so fun to make.

4 bagel halves
8 Oakdell Cage Free Eggs
2 cups shredded cheese
1/2 cup diced onion
Fresh fruit
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Cooking oil

Egg In a Hole Breakfast Bagel Directions

  1. Whisk 4 Oakdell eggs in a large bowl, salt and pepper to taste, set aside.
  2. Heat a large fry pan on the stove and add enough oil to lightly coat the bottom of the pan.
  3. Dip each bagel half thoroughly in the whisked eggs and place it cut side down in the hot frying pan.
  4. Crack an additional egg into the “hole” or center of the bagel, salt and pepper to taste, and cover the pan with the lid or a large sheet of foil. Cook until the egg is set.
  5. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and diced onion. Continue cooking until cheese has melted. Serve with fresh salsa (if desired) and fruit on the side.
